Executive Committee By-Elections

Members of Calgary Public Teachers, Alberta Teachers' Association Local 38 are hereby notified that NOMINATIONS for the Professional System Support Member Representative and the Diversity, Equity and Human Rights Committee Chair on the Local Association Executive Committee for the term ending 2026 June 30 will be received up to 2025 September 19, 1500 hrs at the Local office, 340, 6815 – 8th Street NE, Calgary, AB T2E 7H7.

• Any five (5) members who are part of the professional system support constituent group during the current school year may nominate a Professional System Support teacher who is a member of the Local as a candidate for Professional System Support Member Representative.
• Any ten (10) members of the Local Association may nominate a candidate who is a member of the Local Association as a candidate for the Diversity, Equity and Human Rights Committee Chair

Members of the Executive Committee are expected to attend all regular and extraordinary meetings of the Executive Committee and CSR, as well as General Meetings, functions of the Local, Regional Conferences and the Annual Representative Assembly. Honorarium and kilometrage expenses are provided.

Duties of Executive Committee members are outlined in Articles 4 & 5 of the Local Constitution.
